This was an absolutely gorgeous 17th century Inn, which just oozed character. The location of The Watermans Arms was to die for as well. it really is a beautiful location on the edge of The River Dart, which actually flows opposite it. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left, the staff were so welcoming and friendly! There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us. My wife and I came down for 4 nights forNew Years with our 2 dogs and we felt like we were part of the family every time we walked in. Breakfast was always a brilliant start to every day. it was delicious. There was a good variety as well. A lovely cooked breakfast or a continental breakfast for those looking for something lighter. Food on the evening menu was simple, honest home cooked food which myself and my wife love. made with love and care and we thought it was delicious. The location is 20 minutes from a variety of walks and activities that are ideal for those with dogs. We were able to spend our days walking the costal paths with our dogs allowing them to swim in the sea, run around in the woods, the fields or parks. We are even able to meet some seals during our day trips walking to the various costal coves. After long days out, it was always wonderful to come back and feel like we were coming back home. Simply wonderful and we will definitely be coming back 😃

My room was spacious, clean, warm and comfortable, which was ideal for me as I was on a writing retreat. A great breakfast is included and other meals were tasty. The location is wonderfully peaceful, with the lovely River Harbourne and Bow Bridge just outside the main entrance to the pub. I would highly recommend the Waterman's Arms if you like a rural setting and enjoy friendly service and comfort.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with all we needed for our stay. The gardens are kept beautifully and there is a lovely atmosphere throughout. We had come from a really exhausting trip and they made us breakfast which we could take up to our rooms and have in bed just as we needed. They provided everything we needed with a lovely positive and bubbly attitude. Could not have asked for more. It was the totally the staff that made it for us, let alone the stunning location
